DEBATE

The Debate Club teaches students learn to speak and argue about vital issues and interpret different forms of literature. Students must be enrolled in speech or debate classes to join this club.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Announcing the B.D.I. (affectionaly known as the "Beady Eye") April 3, 2008

WHAT IS IT?    Your last chance to compete in a real tournament setting -- with 35 other BHS beginners, possibly a few GHS and EHS kids, private school and middle school students.

WHY?        To get an important IRREPLACEABLE 40 point grade, and to win awards! Who knows, after winning at the BDI, you may be invited to go varsity next year...

WHERE?    Buchholz High School

WHEN?      April 3, 2008   

                    Schedule: (Tentative)

                    2:45    Get dressed in your competition clothes (yes, dress up like a lawyer)

                    3:30    Opening Assembly and Judge Instructions in cafeteria (snack bar open)

                    3:45    Round I in various science classrooms with various GUEST Judges

                    4:45    Round II, same performance, but with different judges

          5:30    Pizza dinner in cafeteria (1 slice + drink are free -- bring $ for more!)

                    6:15-6:45    Awards Ceremony (Then take your friends out to celebrate!)
